Celiac Camp is the first known overnight camp in the Maritimes for youth who live with celiac disease. Brigadoon invited a Clinical Dietitian to work with our Executive Chef to ensure that all dietary restrictions of campers were considered when preparing the exclusive nut-free and gluten-free menus for breakfast, snacks, and dinner.
The camp this year would not have taken place without the generous support of the Canadian Celiac Association—Nova Scotia Chapter, Brigadoon, the Gastroenterology Team at the IWK, Pete’s Frootique and private donors.
Brigadoon is a non-profit recreational facility on Aylesford Lake in the Annapolis Valley. With our partners, we deliver camp programming to children, youth and families living with a chronic illness, chronic conditions, or special need across the Maritimes.
